Vietnamese Accounting standards

Currently, Vietnam has not yet adopted the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), but it’s using the VAS (Vietnamese Accounting Standards). The VAS uses IFRS as a basis but there are still differences between the two standards. Foreign and local companies operating in Vietnam are required to adhere to the VAS. In 2020, the Ministry of Finance in Vietnam issued the Decision no. 345/QD-BTC which promoted the IFRS (International Financial reporting Standards) adoption in Vietnam. The implementation of the IFRS will be divided into three stages starting from 2020. For more information on each stage, check out the link below:
